Tungsten vs Stainless Steel Archery Points
Are tungsten points a scam, or a legitimate performance upgrade? The truth is they offer subtle but real advantages. With roughly 2.5 times the density of steel, tungsten allows for shorter, heavier points that increase FOC, improve arrow flex characteristics, and resist bending over time. These benefits are incremental, but meaningful for serious competitors.
For most archers, stainless steel remains affordable and effective. But for high-volume shooters chasing marginal gains in consistency and durability, tungsten can be a smart long-term investment rather than an unnecessary expense.
