The Ultra 4 represents 8 years of boundary-pushing innovation here at RamRods Archery, culminating in the most technologically advanced stabilizer the industry has ever seen. Taking a cue from our ever popular Vektor and Beast series, the Ultra 4 uses a new carbon layout and tapered design to gradually transition from an already small 0.560” diameter base to an industry-leading micro 0.440” diameter distal tip, while still being 10% stiffer and 7% lighter than its championship-winning predecessor. The Ultra 4 is less affected by wind, able to hold more weight, and offer a crisper shot feel compared to the Ultra 3 and is the ideal choice for those archers looking for the ultimate performance edge. Nothing compares to the balance of wind-efficiency, shot control, and rigidity the Ultra 4 offers.
The Ultra 4 comes standard filled with proprietary VIBRO-Core internal damping material, dramatically reducing post-shot vibration. Additionally, the Steve Wijler Edition Tungsten Damping option includes 3oz of tungsten powder added into the distal end of the rod, doubling as a dual-density vibration damper and internal weight, further cutting down wind drag by reducing the number of weights on your rod!

I waited a long time to comment, so I could test it in different conditions, and now I can confirm. Indoors, it directly absorbs vibrations when the rope hits the branches. No unpleasant vibrations in the handle. Outdoors, in strong winds, it lives up to its promises with its conical shape, without any wind resistance. Very good lateral stabilization with a large V-bar opening, almost 90°. What's needs saying about these bars that hasn't already been said? These bars are phenomenal upon first impressions and have really helped me stabilise my shot outdoors, I've still some work to do to find my balance but otherwise im very happy with them as im sure you would be if you chose them for your recurve setup and of course they're mind bogglingly thin at the weight end which is a plus.

I’ve recently upgraded from the Ultra V3 and I love these rods. The taper to 0.46” outside diameter gives even more of an edge in the wind, and the rods feel lighter on the bow too. I’m only using 4oz on the longrod and while I personally wouldn’t want to use any less these rods are definitely suitable for recurve archers with relatively light mass weight setups.

I am amazed by the engineering that has gone into these rods. They're lighter and thinner than anything I've seen or used before. Compared to other typical designs, I'm saving close to 2oz of weight on the long rod alone. Thats weight I can add back on to the ends, and get more stability for the same total mass on the bow. Crucially they feel very comfortable to shoot with a reasonably heavy set up. I run with up to 10 oz on the long rod, which is enough to challenge a lot of the lighter stabilisers out there. But with the Ultra V4s I don't see any excess vibration from the long rod struggling to support the weight. This makes it so easy for me to get a clean shot response from the bow, and the performance on the target matches up as well.

The Ultra V4 combine all the benefits of V3 while elevating their performance! After 2 years of shooting the V3 I honestly thought that no stabilizer could upgrade my shooting experience. The V4 offer even more stability, wind efficiency and smoothness throughout the shot. The main difference for me was the smoothness and easiness I felt with every arrow. I would recommend the Standard Vibrocore Internal Dumping for not not very heavy poundage with a few extra oz. They work even better with the Stainless Steel 4-2-1 Weights and the Edge Adjustable V-bar for a more personalised experience. Bonus: the design looks amazing with any type of bow and clothing!

Last year I had the honor of testing this stabilizer in the prototype phase. My first reaction was just wow! I got the stabilizer just before the GT-Open in Luxemburg and decided to shoot it there after just a few days of practicing with the V4. And it payed off, I was able to take home the win. This only shows how much confidence I have using the new V4 stabilizer in competition. For me the V4 feels like the perfect balance between stiffness and feedback in the rod. I shoot 14 ounce front weight on a 30'' rod and 9 ounce weight on my back stabilizers that are 15'' And yes they are really light but for me with the amount of weight that I use that just blends in really nice. But the big plus for me is the diameter of the stabilizer. After the Vektor came out with the taper design I did not know that it was possible to make it even smaller. But the guys from Ramrods did it. And I absolutely love it!

Actually, I fitted this stabiliser just five days before the national championships, and yet I had time to get used to it and perform well with it, so I love the way this stabiliser has given me more stability and improved my release from the bow, without completely changing all my feelings. I’d definitely recommend it! Especially as it’s really light :p
